Parvum Opus is an atelier-style artist’s studio that creates unique bespoke finishing touches for prominent interior architects and designers across the world. Parvum Opus specializes in collaborating with aesthetically-minded global clientele to build each and every object by hand and to order, with meticulous attention to detail. The studio name is inspired by the Latin term for a small work by an artist (Parvum: diminutive, Opus: an artistic work) and perfectly describes the approach the studio undertakes: small things, beautifully done.
Erika Stefanutti, the founder of Parvum Opus, is an artist and designer based in Michigan. She is a life-long student of craft and decorative arts history, with a passion for travel, books and aesthetics, all of which inform the work undertaken in the atelier. Her love of traditional craft was formalized during her BFA studies at the University of Michigan, and further at Cranbrook Academy of Art where she earned her MFA.
"My work is inspired by the Arts & Crafts movement, the romance and intellectual curiosity of the Grand Tour, as well as by objects of vertu crafted by artisans across cultures, continents and centuries. I hope that when you bring my work into your homes, the enjoyment it brings will equal the enjoyment I have in designing and creating it for you."
