This collection features seven womxn and nonbinary artists: Rachel Brunhild, Alexandra Collins, Miranda Kyle, Megan Major, Jarie Saad Ruddy, Julianna Sanroman, and Erin Theroux.

TRANSFORMING TRADITION: Emerging Artists in Practice brings together the Detroit Artists Market’s 2026 Featured Artist cohort, exploring how early-career artists reshape conventions, expanding through personal narratives and experimentation. Featuring a wide range of techniques, weaving, oil painting, collage, printmaking, photography, and mixed media, the works reimagine memory, identity, and place. Together, their work shows how tradition can be both foundation and catalyst, a point of departure for carrying forward history while embracing change.
