Scott Klinker has been 3D Designer-in-Residence at Cranbrook Academy of Art since 2001. His practice aspires to remix the codes of furniture, architecture, and sculpture.
‘Dwellings’ are abstract models of architecture, made at the scale of tabletop objects. These minimal forms remix the languages of architecture, furniture, sculpture and toys. Turned wooden ‘figures’ populate these spaces, suggesting narrative relationships.
