ABOUT THE ARTIST
Adjunct Faculty: Photography

Noah Waldeck is a curator, publisher, fine art photographer, educator, and expert printmaker. He is the founder and curator of the contemporary photography publisher and gallery Subjectively Objective, and co-founder of the photo book publisher Obscura Land. He also operates Noah Waldeck Studios, a custom lab which specializes in providing artists with museum-quality fine art printing, digital imaging, mounting and framing, and publishing consulting services.
His personal work focuses on the exploration of the unseen yet ever-present imagery that makes up the American landscape. Often shooting while on the road, he examines vernacular culture in relation to place, language, architecture, and landscape. Noah received his BFA in Photography from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, where he is currently a member of the Photography Department faculty. He’s also served as a board member and exhibitions director at the Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography.
