Matt Kolbrener has been honing his glass blowing techniques since 2007 by working with and studying under world-class artists and craftspeople. Inspired by the post-industrial landscapes of Pittsburgh and Detroit, Matt's approach to shaping hot glass has its roots in mass production. He constructs custom-made molds and tooling to form and texture the hot glass into shapes that capture Detroit's rich manufacturing history in an industrial, modern, retro aesthetic all his own.
