Throughout this semester, Jaclyn has shown continuity in their exploration of materials used in textiles. "Cellophane" and "Fusible Web" are quite literate as they are titled after the material used to cloth the models in each image.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Student, Photography 2024
Jaclyn Iskow is an Avant Garde photographer exploring the elements of fashion and the materiality of garments. Their approach to their photographic practices is inspired by cinema, especially action and sci-fi films from the late 90s and early 2000s. They try to incorporate elements that examine the form of the human body while also challenging the use of traditional materials used for making textiles in the fashion industry.
