"Our small grade school had a little building attached to it that was the offices for an organization called Boys Hope. They focused on opportunities for underserved kids and they bought an Island off the coast of Ontario that they used as an outdoor paradise for everyone. Boys at our school were invited to come and when I did it blew my mind."
New York-based artists and brothers Steven and William Ladd have collaborated on artworks ranging from the minuscule to the massive for over two decades. Early works of haute-couture handbags and jewelry inspired their signature boxes that became towers, sparking performances that later evolved into large installations. Their artwork is often intricately crafted of textiles and beadwork and incorporates stories of their childhood and journey through life.
